Jason Kopelman shot this time-lapse video showing some of the Sherwood Forest setup and the arrival of thousands of campers at the 2012 Electric Forest Festival.

This is my favorite time-lapse video from Electric Forest 2012. Calder Wilson really captured the way the light moved about the forest, and especially how the colors of the Cathedral Windows reacted to the color-changing lights.
A photo just doesn't capture the magic of the Sherwood Forest -- it's a 360 degree experience.
So, this year I decided to shoot a bunch of 360 panoramas. It's the next best thing to being there.
Take a stroll through the forest with me ...
With its extreme verticality and narrow shaft of light, the main walkway through the Sherwood Forest has always reminded me of the nave of a magnificent gothic cathedral. With little imagination, the tree trunks become rows of stone columns holding up an elaborate vaulted ceiling of branches and leaves. My idea is to expand on this theme by adding the elements which Nature has overlooked: windows and light.
